tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-87368862011-04-21T15:53:35.977-04:00Raskolnikov's Axehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06324372556390922763noreply@blogger.comBlogger21100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736886.post-1099020452074843242004-10-28T23:17:00.000-04:002004-10-28T23:31:20.293-04:00Well....congrats go out to the Boston Red Sox on winning theWorld Series and breaking the curse of the Bambino 86 years later! <br />One would think that with all the amazing things that have occurred to the BoSox in order for them to lose that it would take something amazing for them to win. <br />Once they became the first team to come back from 3-0 that was it. <br />Especially since it came against their arch nemesis, the New York Yankees! <br />It makes the 20 years since my precious Tigers won seem like nothing! <br />Now its time for the Cubs curse to end and hopefully soon, unless they play my Tigers (see World Series in 1935 and 1945). <br />Now that the raves are over its time for the rant! <br />Today at work a gentleman came in wearing his precious Red Sox jersey and wearing it proudly as he should. <br />Then a Yankee fan with a hat and jersey came up to him and congradulated him! <br />What is this? A Yankee fan happy for a Red Sox fan! Now Ive Seen It All! <br />What was this guy thinking? Had this been in NYC both guys would have gotten the snot kicked outta them. Had I not been at work I would have lost it! <br />This is one of the best rivalries in sports, two teams that each other and the fans each other. <br />I mean I didnt give congrats to Mikey N when Ohio State won the National Championship. <br />Of course not! Im a Wolverine fan! I proceeded to email an inquirie to one of the names listed. It turns out to be a company in the U.S. that either wants my email address for itself or a variation of it. They must of made a deal with my email server to get me discontinued. Not only that but for some reason my blog wont allow me to change the email listing at the bottom of my profile. The new address is: <br /><a href="mailto:kenneth_p_hennin@yahoo.com">kenneth_p_hennin@yahoo.com</a> Apparently I have until the end of the week to transfer my address book and important emails to the new account. <br />And now for the rant..... <br />Where do these capitalist fatcats get off sneeking in the back door and taking away something that, while free, still belonged to me. In todays world all information seems to be via the internet. How can one feel safe knowing that someone can come in and take away their main line of communication without asking. Whose to say that they dont do more than this. Ones personal emails could be getting read by anyone with a fat wallet and a suit. If ever there was a time that Ive felt like Big Brother is watching it si now. Someone is probably reading your emails as youre reading this.
